Things are starting to feel a bit real with my 101 in 1001. I am about 13 months into this life project, which means that I’m already about a third of the way through it. Yikes!
While I can’t say that I have a favorite completed goal, I can say that my favorite thing about this project has been the fact that I am checking things off of my list…without even looking at it. Yep, not even a little. It is amazing to me how writing down these thoughts and goals somehow planted a seed in my subconscious, and the universe keeps working in my favor to help me get closer to completing my list.
Although these past few months have felt like a little bit of a whirlwind between work and travel, I have surprised myself with completing three more goals. I actually didn’t think that I would have had anything new to check off of my list, but hey, three is pretty good. I’m happy with three.
16. Start and finish the photo collage idea I have for my office
Well this ended up being a lot easier than I anticipated. The worst part of it all was just finding picture frames that I loved. And being a highly indecisive (and picky) person, this took me a bit of time, and trial and error. But once I found frames that spoke to me, the rest was a piece of cake.
19. Put all of our loose photos into matching photo albums
This was a seriously satisfying project. We finally went through all of our photos, got rid of the ridiculously blurry ones (which I am still trying to figure out why we were holding onto them in the first place), and sorted them all chronologically. Then after picking out photo albums, it was go time.
So with this mega photo-organization project finished, I honestly let out a big sigh of relief. I had been talking about doing this project for years, and so it felt so good to finally be done with it. Well, that is until we went to my parent’s house two weeks ago, and I just happened to notice a bunch of little photo albums in my closet (and I let out a sad little whimper). The type A in me cannot unsee those albums. Eventually we will have to bring those photos back home and start over.
69. Download Italian pop songs.
After consulting with Ryan’s Sicilian cousins, and Googling “top Euro pop,” I excitedly added a bunch of new songs to my “Italian Jams” iTunes folder. My favorite of all of them being “Senza Pagare.” Definitely check it out (even if you don’t speak Italian). It has got such a great beat, I promise that you will love it.
So with another three down, that means that I’ve only got another 68 to go. The big question that now remains, is which number will I check off next? Number 7? Or number maybe 35? Only time will tell.
Euro pop songs are so much better than ours! I was in Italy a few months ago and I couldn’t get enough!
