the Copley Square Hotel

Just as our plane touched down, my heart skipped a beat.  That little ding, the one that alerts us that it is safe to remove our seat belts, went off and I practically leapt out of my seat.  We both impatiently stood in the aisle of the airplane, wondering to ourselves what could possibly be taking so long.

We stepped off of the airplane and hurried ourselves along, doing our best to politely weave through the crowd of travelers.  The airport doors swung open just as we approached, and there it was, Winter.  That cold, brisk night air flew into our faces and we both felt equal parts relieved and excited.  We were back in Boston.

An invitation to stay at the Copley Square Hotel during our time in Boston was met with great joy.  Located in the Back Bay neighborhood of downtown Boston, we knew it well, and we knew that it would be exactly what we were looking for.

The Hotel greeted us with a swanky and modern lobby, twinkly Holiday lights, and a very welcoming staff. Within minutes we were happily walking through the door to our beautiful corner room, unpacking our things, and getting ready to dig into the goodies that the Hotel had surprised us with.

Having lived just a few blocks away (during our College years), we already knew that the location of the hotel was a complete gem.  It’s position puts you just a few blocks from several different MBTA options, minutes from the Prudential Center Mall, and moments away from a grocery store, more Dunkin Donuts than you could possibly ever need or desire, and Newbury Street.

Our stay at the Copley Square Hotel left us with very warm feelings.  The Hotel itself is not too big, but also not too small.  There was a gym, a delicious continental breakfast in the morning, a free wine happy hour in the evenings (yes, you heard me right. . .free wine!), and a beyond-friendly staff that was more than happy to answer all of my questions (yep, I’m that person).

It’s one thing to enjoy a city that you are visiting because of your experiences while touring, but it is a totally different experience when you additionally feel relaxed and “at home” with your accommodations.  And luckily for us, the Copley Square Hotel was the latter – we beyond enjoyed our taste of what it feels like to live in Boston – something that we both miss and yearn for.

So to Boston, we thank you for always welcoming us with delightfully seasonal and open arms.  And to the Copley Square Hotel, we thank you for making us feel right at home.

Our stay at the Copley Square Hotel was generously provided for us by the Hotel; however, no compensation was received in exchange for my writing.  All of the opinions that I have expressed here are my own, and are an honest account of our experience.
