Our Little Surprise

So we’ve been keeping a little secret. And it is something that we feel so beyond blessed to share with you all today. In the midst of so much uncertainty in the world for the better part of this whole year now, we have had one certainty that has been a complete shining light in our lives, and our greatest blessing without a doubt. We are pregnant! Yes, we are pregnant, and we could not feel any more excited, happy, or blessed than we possibly do!

I always knew that this adventure of motherhood and parenthood was something that I would want to share, and I truly feel through the roof to be able to begin these conversations. But at the same time, we weren’t sure when it would feel like the right time to make this news public. As I’ve shared recently, we’ve grown quite accustomed to being in our little bubble here during this whole pandemic. And especially with our newly heightened desire to protect our little one, we’ve both felt particularly cautious and private about this.

But I knew that the right time to share our news would come when it was meant to be. And truly, nothing has ever felt more right in life or in the world. Next to marrying Ryan, this is truly our greatest joy and something that we had been praying and hoping for. We are pregnant, and our sweet baby boy (yes, we’re having a boy!) is due this February!

I can’t wait to share all sorts of details related to my pregnancy with you, and to get into everything that we have been doing to prepare for our little one. But for now, just know that baby is perfectly healthy and developing (thanks be to God), and Mom and Dad are officially off on a little camping adventure to enjoy some time away before baby arrives.
