Fishy Fishy

The Mr. and I try to keep our ‘thumb to the pulse’ so to say.  We love trying new restaurants, going to new places and just generally trying new things.  But we recently discovered that we were totally missing the boat on something going on in San Diego.

About one year ago, some local fishermen decided to start selling their fish on San Diego’s Tuna Pier – a sort of open-air fish market.  (To be honest, I am still trying to figure out how I missed this one.)  As you can imagine, we were bursting at the seams to check it out.

Aside from it being really fun to just see all of the different kinds of fish, the prices at the fish market are insane.  Where else can you buy yellowfin tuna for $2/lb?!?  And what is even better, is that they clean your fish for free.  These fishermen are working so hard to get us the best of the best – the best fish, and the best deal.

The Tuna Harbor Dockside Market is every Saturday, starting at 8 a.m.  But try to arrive a bit earlier to get your spot in line.  Head on over, there’s nothing fishy about this market!
