After waking up to pretty frigid temperatures and finding our tent a bit frostbitten, we decided to pack up camp, explore Bryce Canyon, and then move on to sunnier destinations. We hurried ourselves over to the Visitor Center to get some advice on which hikes would be best for us…only to find out that since we had forgotten our snow shoes and boot clamps (silly us!), we would not be able to do any hiking.
After a cold night of camping, I think that we were both relieved that we would just be sitting in our heated car while enjoying the scenic drive out to Rainbow Point.
If you have the time, the drive is definitely worth it. The different scenic outlooks along the way all have really beautiful and different perspectives of the park.
And apparently the snow came as a surprise this time of the year to the locals as well, and not just us. We felt slightly comforted knowing that we weren’t the only ones who didn’t plan for snow.
After stopping at all of the scenic points that Bryce Canyon had to offer, we said our goodbyes and left the park with hopes (and prayers) of warmer temperatures ahead.
