Merry Christmas! I hope that you are all somewhere warm and cozy, surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones, celebrating the joy of Christmas. Every year the Mr. and I rotate spending the big holidays with either family, and this year we are with the hubby’s family for Christmas.
Although both of our family traditions often revolve around food (we are looking forward to the pizza and turkey feast), there are also some other very sweet traditions. My mother-in-law always makes a birthday cake with “Happy Birthday Jesus” written on it, and we all sing and toast to “the baby Jesus.” We all enjoy long hours around the fire, drinking fabulous wines that my father-in-law specially picks out, while catching up with each other and arguing about what to watch on TV. And of course there is the famous family sing along, which is definitely the highlight of Christmas.
No matter what the traditions are, just being together as a family is what makes the holidays so special. I hope that you all get the chance to share a warm embrace with a family member and appreciate the blessing of being together for the holidays. I’m sending you all the biggest wishes for a beautiful Christmas. May Santa fill your stockings and the joy of welcoming Jesus fill your hearts.
