Valentine’s Day Recap

I hope that you all enjoyed a great holiday weekend – both Valentine’s Day, and also I know that some of you got a holiday on Monday for President’s Day.  We got really lucky with weather over the weekend, and basically sat in the 80’s everyday (sorry East Coast).  It was great to have such gorgeous days to be outside.  The hubs and I made a point to squeeze in some time at the pool and the beach in between prepping for our lovey dovey dinner party on Sunday.

We tried to set up a romantic table for the celebration – and both the table and the food came out great – add in some family, some music and wine, and we had ourselves a really great night.

After cocktails on our patio, and enjoying the last few sips of light for the day, we moved inside to start dinner.

Everything turned out great.  I was a little nervous because I had never made the bouef or the crème brûlée before, but they both turned out wonderful.  We all could have basically swam in the red wine sauce that coats the bouef, it was that heavenly.

What did you do to celebrate?  Did you cook any new recipes?  Did you go out and try a new restaurant?  Whatever your plans were, I hope that you had fun celebrating and enjoying the weekend.  And now for my next great debate…which new recipe should I try next?
