Bencotto

As the clouds finally started drift away by the afternoon yesterday, the Mr. and I decided to wander down to Little Italy to enjoy a plate of pasta at one of our favorite Italian restaurants, Bencotto.

I decided to try out my new Zara pants (mentioned here), and did manage to snap a photo right before we ran out.  (sorry it’s a bit blurry!)

We nabbed our favorite table outside at Bencotto, and just relaxed and enjoyed the late afternoon sun.  It really ended up being a beautiful evening.

love their olive oil, so spicy and flavorful

Bencotto has so many yummy things on offer, but having now been there many times, we tend to stick to our favorites.  We started with the Melanzane alla Parmigiana – a yummy cheesy mess of eggplant and seasonings surrounded by a sea of delicious red sauce….always a crowd pleaser!

For dinner we decided to share two pastas.

Delightfully stuffed to the brim, we sat and enjoyed the weather while we finished our wine.
